Special Christmas Eve Offering

Posted on December 22, 2016

Spring Branch Presbyterian Church has deep and vibrant tradition of Generosity. SBPC seeks to provide people an opportunity to give in special ways to special   causes. Some gifts help those who are near, and some gifts help those far away.  Through your giving, be it ten dollar or ten thousand dollars, you can be assured that your gift will be a blessing to someone’s life.

This Christmas Eve, our offering will be split between two reputable organizations: one is local and secular, the other is through our denomination and helps those both near and far.

MAM (Memorial Assistance Ministries (http://www.maministries.org/) helps with a wide variety of needs like assistance with rent, utilities, medical, transportation, clothing and food.

PDA (Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (https://pda.pcusa.org/) specializes in helping in emergencies. When you hear news of a disaster, be it an earthquake, flood, fire and so forth, PDA already has funds and people heading that way—Presbyterians being the hands and feet of Christ at work in the world.

So, we offer this time to spread some Christmas cheer, inviting you to give generously as God has given to us. May the Spirit of Christmas continue to bless us all!
