May is CUPS month – Collect School Supplies for our Neighbors
Next June, twelve of our youth and adults will go to the Rio Grande Valley to work on the Texas side of the border. We will take school supplies to McAllen which will then be distributed by CUPS to our friends in Mexico and in the Rio Grande Valley. The following are needed (both new and gently worn):
- Pencils
- Pens
- Crayons
- Colored markers
- Small plastic pencil sharpeners
- Small scissors (blunt and regular)
- Construction paper (colored and Manilla)
- Typing paper for the teachers
- Story books in Spanish
- Books in English (for primary school students)
- Back packs
- Pencil bags
- Cotton book bags
- Watercolors
- Paint brushes
All of the above can be left in the church office during the month of May.
