Sock-it-to-MAM
In August we will be collecting new underwear and white socks for the Sock-it-to-MAM collection. These items are all given to SBISD school children in low income schools. Items are distributed through both the school nurses and the CIS workers.
Why white socks? Many schools require uniforms and the white socks are part of that dress code.
Got a donation? We will have a box near the church office available until August 19th, or you can take your donation directly to MAM in August.
We will also also accept monetary donations earmarked for “Back to School”. These will be used to help MAM provide vouchers for folks to purchase uniforms at local stores.
MAM’s goal is to help 5000 students this year; last year it was 4500. More details can be found at their website: helpherehelpnow.org
